LeBron James passed Reggie Miller on the all-time 3-pointers list



The the milestones just keep on rolling for Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James.

He is making his debut in a record 23rd season in the NBA on Tuesday night at Cripto.com Arena against the Utah Jazz, the four-time NBA MVP played with another significant achievement in his storied career in the pros, having just passed another NBA legend on the all-time list for three-pointers made.

“With his second 3-pointer of the night, LeBron James came through.” Reggie Miller for No. 6 on the NBA’s all-time 3-point list,” ESPN’s Dave McMenamin shared via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

James entered the Jazz game needing only to tie Miller for No. 6 on the list. The former Indiana Pacers sniper hit 2,560 total treys, while James started the day with 2,559. James tied Miller with a triple on the left in the second quarter, which was also his first coffee of the season.

Then, with just under a minute left in the second period, James pulled behind the arc and drained a three-pointer that ended his tie with Miller.

There are now only five people in the world with more 3-pointers in the NBA than James, who will turn 41 in December.

Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson (2,729) is fifth on the list. Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard has 2,804 three-pointers, good enough for No. 4. Ray Allen is third with 2,973 three-pointers. Meanwhile, James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers has 3,222 3-pointers so far in his career. Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is the all-time leader 4,116 rainbow ties, at the time of writing this text.
