LeBron James’ Retirement Chances: Will The King Take His Final Bow By Next NBA Season?

In its 23rd season, LeBron James shows no real signs of slowing down.
He may be slower than last year’s James, but he’s likely still competing at an All-Star level — albeit as a (possible) backup.
James’s Lakers are 28-17 straight up (SU) and 25-20 against the spread (ATS). And the veteran superstar is contributing 22.4 points per game and six rebounds, both third on the team.
While the eventual departure of King James from the NBA was topic of conversation in a few years, no fan or analyst really knows if LeBron’s next decision will be when he announces his retirement from the game.
Meanwhile, the market for his retirement announcement is already available.
Here’s a look at the FanDuel odds as of January 28th.

Back in October, James teased that he makes “the decision on all the decisions.” Of course, retirement rumors took center stage. The decision in the end was a cheeky advertisement for Hennessy cognac.
However, when James walks off the court for the final time, he will do so having cemented one of the greatest legacies in the history of the game.
During his career he played for Cavaliers, Heat and the Lakers, and won championships with each franchise. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2003 and has four regular season MVPs as well as four Finals MVPs. During his 23-year career, he averaged 26.9 points, 7.5 boards and 7.4 assists.
