LeBron James sounds on the “new level” of Luka Doncic

Los Angeles The Lakers took care of business against the Dallas Mavericksbeating them 116-110, and it was even better than they could do against Luka Dončićformer team. It may have been almost a year since the trade happened, but there’s definitely some emotion that comes with being on the team that drafted you and then surprisingly moves you elsewhere.
Dončić knew how to make a play on his old turf, as he finished with 33 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists. after the game LeBron James gave praise to Dončić how he found his way since the trade last season.
“A new level in his game, I think the most important thing is just his comfort,” James said. “Obviously, when you get traded in the middle of the season and he spent his first 7 or 8 years here. Obviously, it was a shock to everybody. Everybody involved, everybody not involved in this whole world of sports. Obviously him and the guys involved in the trade, but I think the biggest thing this year is he’s just more comfortable.”

“Understanding the system, understanding the city, the city that accepts him. Understanding that this is his team. We all rally around him. Obviously, we know it’s kind of an emotional/big game when you come back and play your former team. He showed who he is tonight.”
Doncic has always been a prolific player, but this season he may have taken a big step and seems to be more comfortable.
It all started in the offseason when Doncic committed to getting in shape after constant criticism of his fitness with the Mavericks, and apparently that was the reason he was traded.
This season, it’s been obvious that the Lakers have given him the keys to the team, and he has them in the Western Conference’s No. 5 seed with a 27-17 record.
