LeBron James surprises again in activities that he has not done in 16 years
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James enjoy the remaining days of the offseason before diving into another challenging campaign.
James will be out for at least a month with a sciatica injury. He said he would be “overly cautious” with his recovery and would be re-evaluated in three weeks. For now, he’s making sure his extra time is well spent.
It is common knowledge that the Lakers forward enjoys the finer things in life: Good wine, a wonderful cigar, a pristine golf course and, obviously, a fresh pack of NBA trading cards.
Popular trading card company posted a video James opening the pack. Looking like a giddy 10-year-old, the 40-year-old icon said: ‘This is taking me back to my childhood right here.
“I’m like a very smooth pack opener when it comes to tickets. In case you get the real special one. You can’t mess that up,” James said. “First time in 16 years.”
And of course, he had to smell the pack. Only the real ones know!
“It even smells good,” added the four-time MVP.
As he flipped through the trading cards, he drew one of his own, which made him even more excited.
“The best card inside! You have to have it inside!” the Lakers veteran said. “It’s a drug.”

It would have been more dope if James had pulled a car or patch instead of a base. Still, it was cool to see him relive his childhood with genuine delight.
