Luka Doncic erupted at the referee after savagely postering a Hornets player

Luka Dončić went to the referee after the game in Los Angeles The Lakers match against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night.

Dončić showed extraordinary fitness and form as he dunks the ball more and more often. That was certainly the case in this game that took place with four minutes left in the third quarter.

That’s how Dončić passed his defender leaped into the air for a two-handed jam. Sensing he got contact en route to the dunk, he barked at the referee for not calling a foul on the play.

Luka Doncic continues to shine as one of the NBA’s best players, leading the Lakers to a 121-111 victory over the Hornets.

The game was close between the two teams during the first half. Charlotte took a 40-36 lead before Los Angeles went on a 29-23 second-quarter run to take a two-game lead into halftime. It wasn’t until the third quarter that the Lakers took control, outscoring the Hornets 31-15 in that period. This gave the visitors all the distance they needed to secure victory.

Steals and turnovers made the difference in this match. The Lakers won in both categories with 12 steals while limiting their turnovers to just 11. It was the opposite for the Hornets, turning the ball over 23 times while finishing with just six steals.

Five players, including Doncic, scored double-digit goals for Los Angeles. He finished with 38 points, seven assists, six rebounds and a steal. He shot 14 of 28 from the field, including 5 of 15 from beyond the arc and 5 of 5 from the free throw line. Austin Reeves was next with 24 points and seven assists, Rui Hachimura had 21 points and three rebounds, while Deandre Ayton had 14 points and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Marcus Smart had 13 points, seven steals and six assists.

The Lakers will look forward to their next match, staying on the road. They face the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 12th at 9:30pm ET.
