Luka Dončić hilariously changes the jerseys of Nadži Maršal

On Saturday night, The Los Angeles Lakers hit the road to take on the Dallas Mavericks and eventually win the game thanks to a late surge in the fourth quarter. This game marked The second return of Luka Dončić to Dallas after the team infamously traded him almost a year ago, and he played well, scoring 33 points with eight rebounds and 11 assists.

Doncic’s former Mavericks teammate Nadji Marshall asked after the game if the two could switch jerseys, which has become an increasingly common tradition after an NBA game in recent years, but Doncic then requested yes exchange take place in tunnels instead of on the field.

“I don’t want to show my body,” Doncic joked, according to Luka Updates on X, formerly Twitter, via SportsCenter on Instagram.

Doncic’s physique was the subject of much speculation this past offseason when an article in Men’s Health showed the former Mavericks star in what appeared to be the best shape of his career.

Doncic appears to have put on a few pounds since then, but overall he’s moving a little faster than he did after arriving with the Lakers last season, when he often fell in a series of close playoff games in their first-round loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, the Lakers as a whole have played well this season, currently 27-17 heading into the NBA trade deadline. It will be interesting to see what Rob Pelinka and company decide to do at that time, given that the team doesn’t have many mobile contracts on their roster.

Either way, the Lakers next take the court on Monday night against the Chicago Bulls. Meanwhile, the NBA trade deadline is February 5th.
