Luka Doncic joins Elgin Baylor in an elite club with fantastic statistics
Luka Dončić is an absurd talent. We all knew it was Los Angeles Lakers the star is a unique talent, an offensive juggernaut capable of incredible feats every game. Against the Chicago Bulls, Doncic once again excelled for his team. The star guard showed off his talents once again, leading the Lakers to a victory over the Bulls.
Dončić finished the game with really impressive statistics: 46 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists. According to StatMuse, the Lakers star has joined Elgin Baler as the only players in franchise history to record 45+ points and 10+ assists in more games.

The Lakers star has been on a tear this season. Doncic is right in the mix for the MVP award this season along with Shay Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic because of his insane offensive output night after night. Doncic is averaging an incredible 33.4 points per game on 46.7% shooting from the field, along with 7.8 rebounds and 8.7 assists. There’s also reason to believe the star has another quickness left in him: Doncic’s three-point shooting this season has been good (33.4%), but is well below the star’s usual level from deep.
Dončić felt himself in the game during the barrage. The Lakers star knocked down eight 3-pointers, each of which provoked a wild reaction from the guard.

Doncic’s performance against the Bulls marks the fourth straight game in which the star has scored 30+ points. Since returning from his one-game absence, he has averaged 34.8 points per game. Doncic did the most damage in the second half, where he scored 32 points en route to the Lakers’ victory.
LeBron James scored 24 points for the Lakers against the Bulls, including 20 in the first half. Rui Hachimura added 23 points off the bench as he and Doncic fended off a third-quarter comeback attempt by the Bulls.
The Lakers are now 28-17 and still in control of the fifth seed in the Western Conference. They are eagerly awaiting the return of injured star Austin Reeves, who has been out for a month with a calf problem.
