Luka Dončić “scared” admits to a “lucky” injury
Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić suffered a fear of injury during the team’s 129-99 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Doncic was able to get back into the game after an awkward step on Cleveland’s elevated court following a three-point shot that led to a scare. “I was kind of scared. It wasn’t a great feeling and, when I look back at the video, I think I got a little lucky”, Dončić said about the incident after the game, via Athletic’s Dan Woike.

It was a scary moment to say the least. Aside from the setback, it seems that Doncic will be fine. The Lakers will obviously continue to monitor the situation closely.
As mentioned, the Lakers were defeated. Although Doncic exited the game before returning later, he still led Los Angeles with 29 points. Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs with 25 points.
There was a lot of attention LeBron James in what may be his last game in Cleveland. Cavs legend James welcomed hometown fans.
In the end, however, the Cavs emerged victorious in convincing fashion.
The Lakers are in the middle of a long road trip right now. Their next game is Thursday in Washington against the Wizards. LA will then travel to New York to play the Knicks on Sunday and the Nets on Tuesday. The team will then return home for eight straight games in Los Angeles — with the NBA All-Star break in between.
As for Doncic, updates on his injury status will continue to be released.
