Luka Doncic’s complaining efs causes the ‘invisible’ banter of Zak Lowe

Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers fell back into the losing column with a big loss at home to hands of the Boston Celtics. It was a difficult game for Luka Dončićwho scored 25 points but took 22 shots to get there, dishing out just three assists in the loss.
During the game, Dončić often complained to the referees, which became his trademark during his career, and one person is fed up with antics is Zach Lowe from The Ringer.
“Are you playing to draw a foul? Or are you playing basketball? It’s every single possession now. It’s completely out of control… It’s unwatchable,” Lowe said, per NBA Courtside on X, formerly Twitter.
Indeed, Doncic has made a habit of both embellishing contact to draw fouls as well as directly yelling at officials throughout his career, but both seem to have improved over the past few seasons, dating back to his time with the Dallas Mavericks and continuing to Los Angeles.
Doncic is still one of the best offensive talents in the league today, and he clearly doesn’t need to shoot to get his points, which makes him even more frustrating for fans from a visibility perspective when he does anyway.
Meanwhile, several of the Lakers’ glaring weaknesses were on full display in the loss against the Celtics, including their lack of perimeter defenders, as well as their tendency to play stand-up basketball on offense when things aren’t going their way.
Of course, Doncic is still one of the best players in the NBA, and his presence alone makes Los Angeles a formidable opponent for potential playoff teams.
However, for now, there seems to be a hard ceiling on how far this Lakers team can go, and Doncic’s antics only add to the frustration.
