Luka Doncic’s hilarious shot by Austin Reeves

The Los Angeles Lakers secured a 117-112 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, with Luka Dončić scored 44 points12 rebounds and six assists. However, that was what he said Austin Reaves then he started that conversation.

So I have to, like I said before, but I have to know, I have to work on it.”

The punch is just the latest exchange in their ongoing rivalry. After Doncic scored 49 against Minnesota but missed a free throw that would have given him 50, Reeves trolled him on Instagram with “Take the free throw”. Doncic responded, telling him to “shut up”. Before Reaves’ 51-point explosion against Sacramento, Doncic texted him, “I need 60 tonight,” challenging his teammate to go bigger.

After Reaves delivered that career night, Doncic called him “GOAT” on social media. Reaves even joked after his game-winner against Minnesota that he was the expected texts of both Dončić and Lebron “Bad” because he missed some shots.

With LeBron James sidelined with a sciatica issue, Doncic and Reaves have carried the brunt of the offense together. In the first games, Dončić averaged 45.3 points this season, as Reaves put together back-to-back 51- and 41-point performances. Their chemistry became key in keeping the team competitive during this period.

Despite his incredible start, Doncic remains down-to-earth about keeping this production going. He knows shots won’t always fall, and defenses will adjust as the season progresses.
