Major computer glitch at Target center
For several hours it was impossible to find the final statistics wins of the Nuggets facing Wolves (123-112), after an unprecedented error in the NBA statistical system.
At the Target Center, the software responsible for entering statistics actually crashed at the end of the third quarter. According to Wolves officials, it all went down when the statisticians tried to call a double foul with 2:08 left in the period. Since then, individual statistics are no longer recorded…
The scoreboard continued to function normally, showing the time and the score until the final 123-112 in favor of Denver. But for the media and fans, it’s impossible to track a player’s points, rebounds or assists live, something extremely rare in an NBA accustomed to real-time data.
The full results were finally posted on NBA.com a few hours after the game, after the problem was resolved and all action was reconstructed.
