Malik Nabers finally underwent surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament
The The New York Giants were on the fight bus most recently, he first completed a generational job against the Denver Broncos before losing an ugly game to the Philadelphia Eagles over the weekend in a contest that saw a number of bad calls against them. The Giants are now 2-6 in the 2025 NFL season and, to make matters worse, they also lost an outstanding rookie Cam Skattebo due to injury in that game.
Skatebo wasn’t the first Giants offensive star to go down with an injury this year, as in an earlier game, wide receiver Malik Nabers tore his ACL.
on Tuesday, latest update Nabers’ recovery process has been reported.
“Giants VR Malik Nabers had ACL surgery today. On the road to recovery,” USA Today’s Art Stapleton reported on X, formerly Twitter.
While some fans were curious as to why it took Nabbers so long (more than a month) to get the procedure, this was reportedly always part of the plan for the talented young receiver, who had already established himself as the Giants’ number one offensive weapon before the injury.
Strange times for the Giants

On one hand, New York Giants fans can be more excited than they have been in a while about the emergence of some of their young players, including Nabers and Skateb when they return to the field, as well as rookie quarterback Jackson Dart, who has shown some flashes this year.
However, the Giants have also found some inexplicable ways to lose games this year, including blowing a huge fourth-quarter lead against the Broncos, as well as being crushed by turnovers in a recent loss to the New Orleans Saints.
These setbacks have sparked calls from fans to move on from head coach Brian Daboll as the team continues to slide down the table.
The Giants will look for their third win of the season when they host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET.
