Later in the lawsuit, Jane Doe describes a barbecue the Rivera household held for children involved in the church. The alleged abuser was there and continued his behavior while at Rivera’s home in Rye, New York. She also claims that she was molested in the church by the adult son of the pastor.
Mariano Rivera and his family did not respond to Arnold’s request for comment for the story. The lawsuit alleges that Mariano and Clara “falsely promoted their activities and premises as safe, moral and otherwise free of risk of injury when they knew or should have known otherwise.”
