Matas Bouzelis’ smiling update is a good sign for his injury status against the Pistons

on tuesday, Chicago Bulls listed Matas Buzelis as “questionable” due to illness before taking on the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. On Wednesday, however, Bouzelis was all smiles as he is participated in shooting activity in Detroit, according to KC Johnson of the Chicago Sports Network.
A sign that certainly bodes well for the Bulls. Meanwhile, the NBA injury Report list Kobe White as “suspicious” due to recent calf strain and Bouzelis as “probable”.
Also, Josh Giddei is listed as out after tendon injury. Plus, Zach Collins is out with a toe injury.
The Bulls are 17-19 and are coming off a 115-101 loss to the Boston Celtics on Monday. Bouzelis finished that game with 26 points and three rebounds in 31 minutes of play.
Overall, Bouzelis is averaging 14.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game and has played in a total of 36 games. He also found a comfortable spot in the starting rotation in his second season with the Bulls.
Bouzelis has already become a highlight with his emphatic dunks. Indeed, none have remained more memorable than his a recent dunk on Jalen Suggs of the Orlando Magicwhich was billed as the “dunk of the year.”
It’s safe to say that Bouzelis was an integral part of the Bulls’ offensive flow.
All in all, Matas Bouzelis remained intact.
Considering injuries that befell the BullsBouzelis has mostly stayed healthy this season.
However, there was one exception on November 21, 2025 against the Miami Heat. In the third quarter, Buzelis fell after rolling his ankle and had to be taken off the floor. However, he was seen walking alone, and it was a momentary setback.
With Giddy and possibly White, Bouzelis will be the one to carry the Bulls’ offense against Detroit.
