Matthew Stafford replaces the lead on the all-time list
Matthew Stafford he had five wins at Soldier Field before Sunday NFL playoffs the game. But the number 55 is now important for Los Angeles Rams quarterback next win over the Chicago Bears.
ESPN Insights found out why — revealing that Stafford is in a class of his own.

Chicago and Caleb Williams walked onto a snowy Soldier Field as the 2025 homecoming kings. Williams was fresh off erasing a 21-3 deficit against the Green Bay Packers to eliminate their hated rival. Second-year KB Medveda even conveyed this fear to Stafford and the Rams late in the fourth quarter:

Williams, again, struck fear into the heart of the Rams by orchestrating another drive. Camren Karl, however, ensured Stafford got another chance down the field by sacking Williams in a diving way.
Matthew Stafford shows he’s still ready for the cold during Rams vs. Bears

Stafford attacked the Bears’ secondary on the second play after the Carl pick — hitting Colby Parkinson for 15 yards.
Then he laser-fired this crucial onside catch by Davante Adams:

Stafford continued to put the Bears on their heels. He found Puck Natsu on third-and-six who turned it into a 16-yard gain to put LA deep in field goal range.
The potential MVP candidate even went deep on his tight ends Parkinson and rookie Terrence Ferguson near the end zone. But both passes were incomplete. Still, Stafford’s efficiency and composure set up a 42-yard game-winner for Harrison Mavis.
Stafford now owns his sixth career win over his former NFC North rival inside legendary Soldier Field. He made his latest game-winning play one night Sean McVay made franchise history.
More importantly for LA, the warm weather team proved they were made for the cold. Now the Rams are advancing to their third NFC title game appearance since the 2018 season under McVay — but the second with Stafford under center.
