Mavericks Jason Kidd gives a hilarious response to coaching Khris Middleton again

With Cooper Flagg making rapid progress, it wasn’t too surprising that he did Dallas Mavericks decided to part ways with Anthony Davis, as the team felt it could build around a rookie instead.
Davis only played 29 games in his a brief stint with the Mavericks with injuries. He was traded to the Washington Wizards in a three-team deal that also included the Charlotte Hornets. In return, Dallas gained Chris MiddletonMarvin Bagley III, AJ Johnson, and a slew of draft picks.
Joining the Mavericks, Middleton reunited with trainer Jason Kidd. Kidd bonded with Middleton when he pitched for the Milwaukee Bucks from 2014 to 2018, developing a strong bond.
When asked again to coach Middleton, Kidd had a hilarious answeras shown in a video posted by Noah Weber of The Smoking Cuban.
“Terrible,” Kid joked.
He turned serious, however, and discussed the 34-year-old Middleton’s value to the team.
“Playing through him, he’s a vet. I was with him at the beginning of his journey. He’s a champion, he’s a professional, he comes to work, he does his job and he understands that he can help us with his voice, not just his play,” added Kidd, who went 139-152 with the Bucks.
“I’ve talked to him a lot about how he can help the Cup. He feels like he can’t help the Cup. The Cup has already passed him by. He’s got a good sense of humor (about it). But just seeing his knowledge and understanding of the game, it’s been great working with Chris.”

Middleton is still adjusting to his role, though he dropped 25 points in their win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, helping the Mavericks snap a 10-game losing streak.
His familiarity with Kidd should serve him as well as the season.
