Micah Parsons gives optimistic timeline for ACL recovery

On Saturday night, Green Bay Packers Season 2025 ended in an ugly loss at hands of division rival Chicago Bears in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. The Packers led this game 21-3 at halftime, but ended up falling by a final score of 31-27 after a listless second half on both sides of the ball.

It may be hard to remember now, but the Packers have shown some resiliency this year in dealing with numerous injuries, including at pass rush Micah Parsonswho went down with a torn ACL near the end of the season.

Recently, the Packers won positive update on Parsons’ status heading into next season during their 2026 exit interviews.

“Micah Parsons said he wants to be ready for Week 1. Realistically, he expects to be back by Week 3,” reported The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman on X, formerly Twitter.

Green Bay fans would certainly be thrilled to have Parsons back anytime early in the 2026 season after he tore his ACL during a loss to the Denver Broncos this year. The Packers went out and acquired Parsons just a week before the start of the 2025 season in a deal with the Dallas Cowboys, and he mostly produced at a star level in his first season in Green Bay before going down with an injury.

Parsons wasn’t the only key injury the Packers were dealing with this year, as quarterback Jordan Love and several others also missed time with various ailments.

That won’t make Saturday’s job against the Bears any easier to swallow, however, with questions now swirling about what the future might hold for Packers head coach Matt LaFleur after his latest playoff collapse.

Still, if Parsons is indeed back in the mix early next season, the Packers figure to return one of the most talented rosters in the NFL.
