Micah Parsons predicts big trouble in the Lions-Commanders game
The Washington Commanders showed the world that they are ready for prime time with a huge win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round. Now Washington heads to Detroit to take on a 15-2 Lions team that clinched first place in the NFC. While the Commanders are big underdogs, the star quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys Micah Parsons thinks Washington can withdraw upset.
Parsons takes the Commanders over the Lions in the Divisional Round and his pick is all about the rookie quarterback Jaiden Daniels. “He’s the fourth KB to ever win a playoff game in his first year. If he can win one, he can win the other. I never count commanders out,” Parsons said via B/R Gridiron on Ks.
While he has a lot of respect for Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Micah thinks Detroit’s defense will be challenged on Saturday. “Can they find ways to stop Jayden Daniels? … If the game is down and you have Jaden Daniels with two minutes left and it’s 17-17, can they win that game?” Parsons asked the Lions.
The Buccaneers found out the hard way that they can’t stop Jayden Daniels with the game on the line. The Commanders got the ball in a tied game with just under five minutes left and Daniels took the lead amazing drive to win the game in which he picked up a key first down that allowed Washington to run out the clock before kicking a field goal as time expired.

Daniels was outstanding in his first year in the league. The unquestioned Offensive Rookie of the Year received praise from NFL greats, including Peyton Manning. Now he’s added his first postseason win to his resume and is looking for more.
Daniels was undoubtedly clutch for commanders. But the team faces a tough task in the Lions. Head coach Dan Campbell understands how dangerous Daniels can be and made it known without looking past Washington.
However, the Lions are a giant that can boast of a dynamic offense and a suffocating defense. And the team should have a healthy backfield for the Division game at running back David Montgomery is expected to play. Montgomery has been sidelined since spraining his MCL in Week 15. While sitting, Jahmir Gibbs has taken on nearly every role in Detroit. Gibbs was sensational, but the Lions are at their best Sonic and Knuckles contributing. Combined, the running backs scored 28 rushing touchdowns in the regular season.
