Michael Porter Jr. missing Wizards tilt due to illness

The Brooklyn Nets will face the Washington Wizards, and they will be without one of their best scorers in the match. Michael Porter Jr. will be out for the second game in a row with the diseaseas he missed their match against the Houston Rockets yesterday.

The Nets don’t have as many scoring options as they do, so he’ll once again be the next man up for the team.

Porter is having the best season of his career, as he is currently averaging a career-high 25.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists. The Nets are clearly in the mood to rebuild their team, and Porter took advantage of the opportunity they gave him.

He won some games on his own, and obviously that’s the kind of player he always could have been when he first came into the league, but injuries set him back. Now that he’s shown the full package, teams are looking at what he could bring to their organization, which is why there have been trade rumors lately.

One of the teams that was rumored to have Detroit Pistons are interested in himaccording to NBA insider Jake Fisher. At the same time, they want to be careful with every move they make.

“The Pistons, as we’ve reported, have signaled that they don’t want to precipitate this pleasant surprise comeback from a 14-68 campaign in 2023-24 with an overly aggressive move during the season,” Fisher said.

Porter would be another high-scoring option for the Pistons, but it looks like they may be happy with what they have right now. It also doesn’t look like they don’t want to give up much to acquire players, which also makes sense.

The Pistons won’t be the only team with their eyes on Porter, especially teams that think they might be a couple or two away from true contention.
