Michigan State folds up the Nike Book 2 sneaker for March Madness

Ranked 13th in the nation and third in the Big Ten Conference standings, Michigan State Basketball there is likely to be a slight increase their 76-74 primetime win at No. 8 Purdue. The Michigan State Spartans athletic programs have had a long-standing partnership with Nike since 2001, which has helped make the green and white one of the most recognizable brands in all of college sports. As for their basketball position, they will see games in Indiana, against Rutgers, in the. No. 3 seed Michigan closes out the season and is currently projected as the No. 3 seed in the March Madness bracket.

The Nike Book 2 arrives as the anticipated follow-up to the Book 1, which we’ve already seen the Book partially retire as it debuts its latest model. The silhouette is inspired by the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon with a lacing system and a vintage look from 1997. This pair will feature Spartan Green along the fenders, offsetting a white mesh upper and white midsole.

Finer details will include a small Nike Swoosh on the forefoot along with a Sparta “Gruff” logo on the rear heel, giving them their signature feel. Finally, we see an oversized Nike Swoosh in metallic chrome for added shine when worn on the court.

While previous Nike Book PE sneakers have made it to the public release, for now they will remain exclusive to Michigan State basketball and their upcoming journey through March Madness.
