Mike Vrabel looked hilariously cheeky on Darrell Taylor’s release

As it is The New England Patriots play the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, the team made some moves ahead of the crucial match. With The Patriots are struggling with injuriesthe team was hoping some players, like defensive end Darrell Taylor, could give them a boost, but the team will release him, albeit in an unconventional way.

Taylor’s release from New England was announced at 4:00 PM EST, but the media and fans learned from the head coach Mike VrabelPress conference on Friday afternoon. It would come after a question from a member of the media about Taylor adjusting to his new team, with Vrabel responding be as blunt as possible.

“How has Darrell Taylor acclimated so far?” the journalist asked Vrabel.

“Uh, yeah. We released Darrell Taylor. We’ll announce that here at 4:00. So, not very good,” Vrabel replied.

It’s safe to say, as Vrabel said, that Taylor hasn’t fully adjusted to the team, especially ahead of a consequential game like Sunday against the Broncos, where the winner clinches an AFC Super Bowl berth.

The Patriots signed Darrell Taylor not too long ago

While it is The Patriots take on the Broncos in the AFC Championship gameit would be Taylor’s first chance to make an impact with injuries like Harold Taylor, who is out on Sunday. Taylor was signed to the New England practice squad ahead of the AFC Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans.

Taylor went off waivers, funnily enough, from Houston, allowing the Patriots to flip the defensive lineman, who was a 2020 second-round pick.

“Well, we had conversations with him in free agency” Vrabel told members of the media last week, via Yahoo Sports. “He ended up going somewhere else. And then when he became available, we got together and talked and we were able to bring him in.”

Either way, as Taylor looks for his next football opportunity, New England is focused on beating Denver on Sunday, looking to extend its already impressive season.
