Miles Bridges is the latest star linked to a Bucks trade to save the Giannis era
With rumors surrounding the Milwaukee Bucks as the team looks to improve and further salvage the era it leads Giannis Antetokounmpothe latest report indicates the latest interest in the franchise. As some have even made case the Bucks go after Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, a name that has been mentioned lately is the Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges.
NBA Insider Matt Moore reported that Bridges did “withdrawn interest” from Milwaukee, who tried at every opportunity to create a team that does not lead to the departure of Antetokounmpo. However, Antetokounmpo told Atlético last Thursday that “the plan is to be here for the rest of my career.”
“Speaking of Bridges, the Hornets forward — who absolutely shouldn’t be in the NBA and has a -2.5 net floor rating and a -8.5 on/off split — has drawn interest from Milwaukee as they continue to try to look for an upgrade to magically unlock some version of the team that keeps Moore from leaving,” Giannis wrote.
This season, Bridges is averaging 19.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, shooting 44.3 percent from the field.
The Bucks have been linked to a slew of players before the trade deadline
While it is Bucks will continue to be surrounded by rumors around Antetokounmpo and the players they could trade for before the February deadline, there is a group of players the team is interested in. Sam Amick of the Athletics would list some options, including one that stuck in Michael Porter Jr. of the Brooklyn Nets.
“It remains to be seen if he can pull off anything significant, as Milwaukee is (own part) limited in resources and options,” Amick wrote. “The list of names being considered is likely much longer than what is publicly known, but a few have emerged. The Kings’ LaVine is a confirmed target, as are — according to ESPN — Sacramento’s Malik Monk and Portland’s Jerami Grant. League sources say Brooklyn’s Michael Porter is also a name worth watching.”
It remains to be seen if the Bucks will go after Bridges and who they will add before the trade deadline.
