Milwaukee donates food from game postponed amid storms

Amid dangerous winter storms swirling across the country, the NBA has made the decision to postpone multiple games on Sunday, including the Milwaukee Bucks game against the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets match against the Memphis Grizzlies.
In the case of the Bucks vs. Mavericks game, the Dallas team’s plane was unable to take off and fly to Milwaukee due to severe weather conditions. With tons of food prepared for the game, the Bucks made decision to donate all that food to local shelters to help those affected by the storms, according to The Athletic’s Eric Nemo.
Bucks president Josh Glessing released a statement explaining the team’s decision.
“Following the postponement of tonight’s Milwaukee Bucks-Dallas Mavericks game at Fiserv Forum, the Bucks organization is donating food that has been prepared for the concession stands and premium areas to those in need in the community. We thank the Sojourner Family Peace Center and the Hunger Task Force for their great help in delivering food to the Shel today.”
Among the items donated by the Bucks were brats, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, jalapeño macaroni and cheese, pollo asado, chicken tinga, beef tacos, nacho cheese pretzels, pork carnitas, pirate beef, cochinita pibil and Mexican street corn.
Currently, the NBA has not yet announced a rescheduled time for the postponed games. In addition to those two games being postponed, The NBA also changed tip-off times for two more gamesincluding the Philadelphia 76ers-Charlotte Hornets match and the Indiana Pacers-Atlanta Hawks matches.
