Mitchell Robinson sends a 2-word message to Gershon Yabusele after trade
The New York Knicks they didn’t have much room to make a blockbuster trade before the deadline without giving up one of their key players, so they instead settled for an upgrade on the margin, bringing in Jose Alvarado in a trade for Dallen Terry, who they brought in first in exchange for Gershon Jabuselah.
Yabusele made life easy for the Knicks by restructuring the contract and removing the player’s option for next season. He knew he wasn’t getting playing time in New York, so he made the trade easier by making the move, helping the team bring back Alvarado and helping himself get minutes with the Bulls.
But as short-lived and unsuccessful as Jabusele Nix’s stay was, he still left his mark on their locker room, if Mitchell Robinson‘s a two-word message on Instagram for the French international is any indication.
“Come back,” Robinson captioned his Instagram story with a picture of him and Yabusela together.

Yabusele has prioritized getting his career back on track, as he is likely to remain with the Knicks unless he waives his player option for next season. For that alone, he must be loved in New York, even though things didn’t work out between them in the end.
The Knicks’ Gershon Yabusule move is not working

When the Knicks signed Jabusele, many fans were pleased. After all, he was very good in his first season stateside, averaging 11.0 points and 5.6 rebounds for the Philadelphia 76ers.
However, Yabusele failed to make the cut under head coach Mike Brown, finding himself behind Karl-Anthony Towns, Robinson and even Ariel Huckporty in the Knicks’ center rotation. Yabusele has always been the guy to bet on himself, so now he’s playing for a new contract while racking up stats for the Bulls.
