MVP of the night

If the Bulls have completely disrupted the Cavaliers’ play in their area they also benefited from the big one Josh Giddei to punish Cleveland’s defense. Like many teams, Donovan Mitchell and his partners chose to ignore the Australian leader out wide and Giddy punished them with 5 of 11 from distance. With that, he equaled his career record, and above all, he signed the 24th triple-double in his career with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, but also 2 interceptions and 1 block.
“I feel good” he explains about his 6th triple-double of the season. “Obviously as a player you want to win. I think the next step for me is to figure out how to continue to lead this group to victory. The stats are good, but winning is always my number one priority. We have to find a solution collectively, and I have to find the best way to lead this team to victory.”
Thirteen triple-doubles in 94 games in Chicago
At only 23 years old, Giddy has already signed his 13th triple-double in the colors of the Bulls. Two units behind Scottie Pippen, and 15 behind Michael Jordan. But the two legends each played more than 850 games with Chicago, while Giddy only played 94 games with the Bulls…
But the most important thing, as he says, is that the Bulls win, and last night we saw, at times, the Bulls basketball from the start of the season with aggressiveness, speed and especially sharing the ball.
“Honestly, it’s something we’ve been coming back to for a while. I think we’ve had a good start to the season and, obviously, we’ve gone through a rough patch, probably the last dozen or so games. But tonight, it’s a very, very good step in the right direction against a very good team.” Giddei continued. “We’re winning against a team that’s in a pretty similar situation to us in terms of not playing their best basketball lately. I think we’re getting better little by little, everybody’s coming back. When we have the whole group, with all 15 players ready to play, we’re going to be a very tough team to beat.”
