MVP of the night
On the eve of his 22nd birthday, Jalen Duren returned to the court to challenge the Pacers after missing his team’s last two games with a sprained ankle. “I’m just trying to be aggressive” explains Jalen Duren after the meeting. “I work on my game every day and try to keep improving. I take what the defense gives me without forcing anything. I just play my game as hard as I can.”
After the break, Jalen Duren attempted fewer shots but was more effective as he made all five of his shots, all on the finish unlike in the first half where he showed his ball-in-hand qualities with a mid-range shot against Jay Huff after dribbling between the legs and dribbling behind the back.

An efficiency monster
“At the end of last season we knew what we expected from him and how we were going to make him improve as much as possible. confides JB Bickerstaff. “From an organizational standpoint, we decided to continue to develop our young guys and give them a plan to see how they progress. JD stuck to that plan and worked all summer to be able to do what he’s doing today.”
Jalen Duren became the first player Since Dwight Howard in February 2010 to have a game with more than 30 points and 10 rebounds with at least 90% shooting success.
This isn’t the first demonstration of efficiency for the young Pistons player since then in a win against the Mavericks on Nov. 1had a game with 33 points and 10 rebounds on 13/16 shooting.
