Myles Turner makes the Nets pay with authoritative shots

Miles Turner and the Milwaukee Bucks entered Saturday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee eager to record a seven game losing streak. The Nets seemed to be just the right team for Milwaukee to pick up a win and boost morale, as Brooklyn won just three games during the contest.
Turner perhaps best epitomized his team’s desire to end their slump in the Brooklyn game when he attacked the Nets’ sloppy defense early on throwing him with power during one possession in the second quarter.
The former Texas Longhorns big man easily faked out Nets guard Terrence Mann, who was trying to close, before taking the ball to the floor and attacking Brooklyn’s barely-there interior defense.

Turner showed off his ability to shoot the ball from beyond the arc, which clearly factored into Mann’s decision to bite on the big man’s fake.
It was also great for Bucks fans to see Turner read the Brooklyn defense so well. Instead of settling for just a 3-pointer, Turner drove down the lane for a higher percentage shot, especially without Milwaukee’s sophomore near the rim for a potential offensive rebound.
And of course, Turner scored some style points with that dunk. There should be more moves like this from Turner in the future as he continues to lead this first season with Milwaukee.
Turner, who signed a four-year, $108.86 million deal in the summer with the Bucks after his 2025 NBA Finals with the Indiana Pacers, entered Sunday with season averages of 12.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per contest.
