NBA Cup Finals moved from 2026
For the third year in a row, semifinals and finals NBA Cup to be held in Las Vegas, at the T-Mobile Arena. From 2026, however, there will be changes, because now there will be no more “final four” in Nevada, but simply a title match, due to lack of filler.
But it’s not certain yet, since ESPN now reports that the NBA is considering abandoning “Sin City” entirely, even for the finals of its “Tournament of the Season.” Because if the tournament managed to seduce Major League observers, the lack of competitiveness in this otherwise slow period of the season, in addition to pleasing the players, who find a financial interest in itsuccess is not comparable in the stands.
On a neutral ground, Adam Silver and his team regret to see empty seats, even for high-stakes matches, while the atmosphere is not overly excited in Las Vegas, without most of the usual fans of each franchise.
What prompts the NBA to rethink its formula? And probably give the team with the best seed the floor advantage until the finals?
