NBA fans turn on the Grizzlies after trailing by nearly 40 points at halftime

The Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat both are in limbo as they try to separate themselves from the crowd and figure out how make real noise at their conferences. Both pride themselves on their example of bravery, but on this night, the two teams were miles apart. Miami embarrassed Memphis on the road, earning a stunning 146-114 victory inside the FedExForum. The game was over by halftime.
Grizzlies fans were horrified to see their beloved franchise completely outplayed in their own building against a Heat team that was without its best scorer in Tyler Hero. Memphis trailed 86-47 at the break. The effort was both terrifying and unfathomable. People took to social media to assess this massacre.
“It’s so hard to be a Grizzly fan,” @dogleguitar mourned the X. “You owe everyone on the forum a refund,” @austin_velch18 commented. They have no defense {laughing emoji},” @AUSTINHONEI88 noticed. “The time when the Grizzlies had a tremendous defense with {Jaren Jackson Jr.} as the DPOI seems like a long time ago,” @Footballjogfv opinion.
Memphis jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the contest, but found itself in a 19-point hole after the first quarter. Ja Morant, initially questionable with ankle soreness, scored just 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting. Jackson managed just three rebounds as Miami decisively won the battle on the glass 57-41. Despite the Grizzlies committing 20 turnovers, the Heat were completely dominant on Friday.
Bam Adebayo recorded a record 24 points, Kel’el Ware scored 19 points and nine boards, and Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez Jr. scored 37 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists off the bench together. Adebayo and Simone Fontecchio each made four 3-pointers as the team shot 47.5 percent from distance. The Heat bounced back nicely from a 125-121 loss to the Orlando Magic in the season opener and made a thunderous statement in Bluff City.
The Grizzlies built one that was just as loud, but for all the wrong reasons.
