Nets’ Michael Porter Jr. shows up at Nuggets-Pelicans to watch former team
The The Brooklyn Nets are scheduled to compete New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, but Michael Porter Jr. was already in New Orleans early, just in time to be in town when the Pelicans squared off against his former team, the Nuggets. So Porter felt he made very good use of his time catching the action at the Smoothie King Center, seeing a few familiar faces in the process.
Porter he must have been delighted let’s see the Nuggets pull off a 120-116 victory over the Pelicans. He may not be on the team anymore, but he’s still good friends with his former teammates, having been in the trenches with most of them. More importantly, he must have gotten some valuable information going into the Pelicans’ battle with his current employer, the Nets, looking to earn their 12th win of the season.

Porter spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Nuggets, winning a title with them in 2023. He had to sit out this offseason due to cap management, and for what it’s worth, he’s also flourished in a primary role with the Nets. While Porter certainly misses playing on a consistent winning team, the opportunity to be a star for his team must also be a very exciting experience.
Michael Porter Jr. not long for the Nets

Porter was great for a bad Nets teamand as a result it has attracted a lot of interest in the trade market. He’s been one of the best scorers in the league this season, and he’s sure to hit Brooklyn even harder than they already have (2032 Nuggets first rounder).
The trade deadline is less than a month away, and one would have to think that Porter would come with a struggling team sooner rather than later.
