NFL Fantasy Football Week 10 2025 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Kicker

The kickers may not be the brightest fantasy football position, but in close matches they often determine victory or defeat. During Week 10, the Cowboys, Bengals, Titans and Chiefs are on hold. That removes a few famous fantasy options from the pool. It also means it’s time to look for steady legs with scoring opportunities high up the floor and stock up on those whose teams might struggle to cross the middle of the pitch.

Ahead of Week 10 of the 2025 NFL seasontime to see which RBs to start and which to sit on your fantasy football team.

Run them

Matt Prater, BUF (@MIA)

Matt Prater’s reputation as a strong but occasionally erratic shooter predates him. However, Week 10 is set up well for a comeback performance. Prater went 1-for-2 on field goals and added two extra points last week against the Chiefs. He missed a long shot that could have cost Buffalo dearly. Despite the hiccup, his role remains secure as Tyler Bass (groin) continues his recovery.

The Bills should move the ball effectively against a shaky Dolphins defense. This will give Prater plenty of chances to rack up points. Even if Buffalo gets an early lead, expect them to kick more extra points with the potential for two or three field goal attempts in the second half.

Brandon McManusGB (vs. PHI)

Brandon McManus remains one of the most trusted veterans in fantasy football. In Week 9, he made two of three field goals and an extra point. McManus has now made 11 of his 16 attempts and 15 of 16 PATs this season. It’s not elite accuracy, but stable enough to believe.

The Packers’ ability to sustain the drive without consistently punting creates opportunities for McManus. He could see more 40+ yard attempts against the Eagles. That’s fantasy football gold.

Jake Bates, DET (@ VAS)

Jake Bates has quietly emerged as a streaming favorite for fantasy football managers. He went 1-for-2 on field goals and hit all three extra points in Week 9. The Lions and Commanders are capable of moving the ball quickly, so this match is shaping up to be a potential shootout. It can benefit players on both sides.

Cairo Santos, CHI (vs. NIG)

Cairo Santos was a model of stability for Chicago. He went 2-for-3 on field goals and a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points in the game Bears’ Week 9 win over Cincinnati. Santos is now 11-for-14 on field goals on the year.

Remember that the Bears’ offense, driven by an increasingly improving field game, moved the ball effectively. However, they often struggle to complete the rides. It is the perfect condition to produce fantastic football kickers.

Other starts: Cameron Dicker, LAC (vs. PIT); Chris Boswell, PIT (@LAC)

Sit them down

Chad Ryland, ARI (@ SEA)

Chad Ryland enjoyed one of his best outings of the season in Week 9. He went 5-for-5 on kicks (two field goals, three PATs) in a 27–17 win over Dallas. Yes, the performance was encouraging. However, it’s not enough to get him into Sunday’s fantasy football.

Arizona’s offense remains volatile, especially on the road. Seattle’s defense is stingy inside its own 30-yard line. They allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing players. Ryland’s recent success is unlikely to carry over here.

Ryan Fitzgerald, CAR (vs NO)

Ryan Fitzgerald hit a game-winning 49-yard field goal in Week 9 against Green Bay. However, that was the only highlight in an otherwise quiet day. He was 1-for-1 on field goals and 1-for-2 on extra points. Additionally, Carolina’s offensive inconsistency limits his potential.

The Saints have also allowed just five field goal attempts in their last four games. That said, Fitzgerald is best left on the bench this week in a low-scoring matchup.

Andre of the Mash, CLE (@ NISS)

Andre Szmit’s struggles continue. He missed a 47-yarder in Week 9 and only added one extra point. He finished with only one fantastic football point. Yes, Cleveland’s offense provides quite a few field goal chances. However, Szmit’s inconsistency has become a liability for fantasy managers.

Other places: Blake Grupe, NE (@ CAR); Riley Patterson, MIA (vs. BUF)

Final thoughts

The fantasy football landscape in Week 10 favors players tied to efficient offenses that move the ball but don’t always finish drives. That makes Matt Prater, Cairo Santos and Brandon McManus safe bets. All three should see multiple scoring chances in favorable matchups. Conversely, players tied to low-scoring or turnover-prone teams, such as Andre Szmitt or Ryan Fitzgerald, are too volatile to be trusted.

Lesson for this week? Prioritize players bound for fast-paced, top-12 offenses. Yes, even if they are not the most accurate. Avoid those bogged down in defensive attacks. In a tight fantasy week, one 50-yarder could make all the difference.
