Nick Wright Releases Wild All-Star Game Update Featuring ‘White vs. Black’

The The NBA All-Star Game was one of the the most talked about events in the sporting calendar. Once the must-see showcase for the league’s best players, the All-Star Game became synonymous with a lack of effort and defense over the past few seasons.

This has caused the NBA to change the format several times in order to achieve a competitive balance that will encourage players to compete while also sparking fan interest. First Things First star Nick Wright joined Bill Simmons Podcast and came up with a hilarious but interesting solution to an All-Star Game that could happen four years later.
“It’s fixable in four years if your guy Kon Knuepel continues on this path. And we just have to say that PC titles be damned,” said Nick Wright.
Bill Simmons said, “I know where you’re going…”
Wright continued: “Whites against black boys. Luke, Joker, Flagg, Reeves, Knuepel versus Wemby, anybody. I’m telling you now, the boys would play bloody hard. There would be a real edge to the game.”
“It would certainly generate a lot of conversation that week,” Simmons replied
Wright believes the matchup with those teams would be the closest in decades.
“It’s like there hasn’t been a moment in the NBA in the last 50 years that if it happened to end up as a game, you could see either team win.”
The The NBA All-Star Game is taking place Sunday, February 15, beginning at 5:00 PM EST on NBC.
