Nick Young draws attention with a bold prediction for LA

The Los Angeles Clippers were one of the more active teams during the trade deadline, but it might not be the way fans expected. They became more sellers ahead of schedule, trading James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Darius Garland. Days later, they traded Ivica Zubac and Kobe Brown to the Indiana Pacers for Benedict Maturin, Isaiah Jackson and two first-round picks.
Some have already assumed that the Clippers are giving up this season, while others believe that the withdrawal of these moves has to do with Kawhi Leonard and the Steve Ballmer chaos that ensued before the start of the season.
That’s the conversation Gill’s Arena had when discussing the moves the Clippers made, but Nick Young had a different approach about everything.
“The Clippers are going to be nice, everybody cheers,” Young said. “They got (Darius Garland and Benedict Maturin) and (Kawhi Leonard)? That’s better than the s— they had.”

It’s hard to say if the team the Clippers have now is better than when they had Harden and Zubac. Both players have been big contributors to the Clippers over the past few seasons, and the reason why they’ve been in the playoffs.
Garland and Mathurin are good players, but they may not have the same impact as these two players. At the same time, the Clippers have to hope that Leonard is healthy, because one injury and they could be in trouble. If the Clippers can build chemistry throughout this season, there is a good chance they can make the playoffs and make the playoffs.
The teams below them don’t have much of a chance to improve, so they should be safe where they are. Anything can happen, so it will be important for them to keep winning until the end of the season.
