Nickeil Alexander-Walker has one goal for the second half of the season

The The Atlanta Hawks are not the same team that they should start the season. there there were many changes due to injuries and substitutions, but they still found a way not to lose track of the season. The core group of players was mostly available and got the Hawks to where they are before the All-Star break.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker is one of the players that has been a constant for the Hawks, and his career year was huge for what they did. Alexander-Walker comes from a team that has been to the Western Conference Finals two seasons in a row, and there is no doubt that he wants the same success with the Hawks.
When asked what his goals are for the rest of the season, Alexander-Walker was simple.
“Try to make the playoffs,” Alexander-Walker said. “If we can avoid getting into the game, I know that’s where we’ve been the last couple of years, and we’re trying to secure a seed and hopefully we can make it. We’re building, and we’ve got guys like (Jalen Johnson) playing phenomenal. Dyson (Daniels) is realizing that and making shots now (Mc that I and CJJ have slow communication).
The Hawks made several moves at the trade deadline, adding five new players. They acquired Jock Landale from the Utah Jazz, trades Kristaps Porzingis to the Golden State Warriors for Jonathan Cumminga and Buddy Hield, and traded Luke Kennard to the Los Angeles Lakers for Gabe Vincent.
“If we add guys like Jock (Lendlay), Buddy (Hild) and Jonathan (Cumminga), it’s going to be exciting just to see how they come in,” Alexander-Walker said. “As we’re all kind of moving, the goal is to get into the playoffs and try to contend. I want to win and I want to compete.”
The Hawks are currently the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference, but are just a few games away from climbing the standings. At the same time, they are also a few games away from slipping out of the Play-Ins, so it will be important for them to stay on top of their P and K in the second half of the season.
Luckily for the Hawks, they have one of the easiest remaining schedules in the league, but that won’t mean much if they don’t come out and win those games. Hopefully with the new guys coming into the team, they can establish chemistry early and hit the ground running.
