Nike Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Kobe 1 “81 Points”

It was January 22, 2006. Kobe Bryant accomplished a feat to remember hitting 81 points against Chris Bosh’s Raptors. To this day, it remains the second greatest single performance in NBA history behind the legendary 100 points by Wilt Chamberlain.

That day, the Lakers legend reached heights with the Kobe 1 PE on his feet. The pair took the global market by storm the following year as the Kobe 1 “81 Points” and so today they return to celebrate twenty years of this historic feat.

The white leather upper is matched with a black “Swoosh” on the vamp and “Purple and Gold” finishes, in Lakers colors, between touches of purple on the collar and sole, and “uptempo” lettering in gold on the heel. We can also read the words “All Star 2006” on the inside of the tongue.

The Kobe 1 Protro “81 Points” is available at Basket4Ballers from midnight, at a price of 200 euros.
