Nikola Jokic vs Demarcus Cousins 1 on 1? Boogie weighs

The NBA All-Star Weekend festivities are currently taking place in Los Angeles, and Denver Nuggets superstar Among the participants is Nikola Jokić for Sunday’s main event: the All-Star Game itself. Jokic was voted the starter for the game despite missing about a month due to a knee injury, and it remains to be seen if he is The Nuggets star will give it a little more effort in the game than he had in previous years.
Also at this weekend’s festivities is a former NBA big man DeMarcus Cousinswho was Jokic’s teammate for a year in the Nuggets, and recently the star weighed in who thinks he’d win a one-on-one between him and the Joker, if they were both in their prime.
“I think it’s tied 11-11 because I don’t think either of us can stop each other,” Cousins said, per Ricardo K Sandoval of Newsweek on X, formerly Twitter.
Indeed, neither Jokic nor Cousins are known as defenders, but both have otherworldly offensive skills that can trouble opponents.
Jokic isn’t necessarily considered an isolated one-on-one player, who at one point this year was criticized for sacking Peyton Watson on a last-second play against the Dallas Mavericks rather than going for it himself.
However, he is virtually unstoppable around the basket and has also turned into one of the best three-point shooters in the league.
Cousins, meanwhile, was a terror in his own right back in the day with the Sacramento Kings, harassing opponents in the paint while also showing a feathery touch from the perimeter, along with the ability to run the floor better than most big men in the league.
That would certainly be fun to watch.
Either way, the All-Star Game is set to begin Sunday at 5:00 PM ET.
