Noah Penda impresses more and more

On Saturday night, Desmond Bain was apparently invited to answer the press afterwards his game-winning basket against the Jazz. But he hasn’t been alone on the platform since Noah Penda was next to him. Against Utah, the French rookie recorded his first double-double in the NBA with 13 points and 12 rebounds for a +27 rating!
“Stay ready. Trust the work I put in every day, as I’ve said many times before” answers the former Le Mans to the question of how he manages to have such an influence. “As a rookie, I talked about it a lot: it’s about bringing extra possessions to your team, doing the dirty work and whatever it takes to win.”
In order to get playing time, Penda realized he had to do the dirty work. “Honestly, it comes naturally. I’m not particularly proud of it. It’s what I do, and it’s nice to be recognized.” he continues.
A professional of 16 years…
Beside him, Bane becomes the group’s spokesperson to congratulate him. “There’s no question: we have complete confidence in him. He made a lot of plays — offensive rebounds, blocks, penetration and passes for Wendell. He’s a real pro!”
And Bane recalled that Penda started very early in Betclic Elite… “He’s been a professional since he was, what… 16? At 16, I wasn’t even driving yet, and he was already a professional basketball player. So there’s no doubt he’s ready for these moments.”
