Norman Powell injury situation for the Heat

Given the fact that he still hasn’t been ruled out of either the three-point contest or the All-Star Game itself at the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend, it wouldn’t appear that Norman Powell’s problem is something to be overly concerned about moving forward.
Powell was recently named a big-game reserve because of his performance this season in his first year in South Beach, where he was the only source of perimeter offense for the Heat at times.
Meanwhile, he joined Powell injury report for the game against the Pelicans is Andrew Wiggins, who is questionable with a sore left toe, and Pele Larsson, who is out with a sprained right forearm. Tyler Hero will be sidelined with a rib injury.
Micah Peavy is questionable for the Pelicans with a sprained toe.
Overall, the Heat have been a disappointment this year, currently sitting at 28-27 heading into the game in New Orleans. The Heat would be in the playoffs for the fourth straight year if the season ended today, and Powell’s offensive firepower is one of the main reasons the Heat aren’t a lottery team right now.
The team will certainly be hoping his back problem isn’t too serious moving forward, as will NBA fans at large, who have already seen several players leave Sunday’s All-Star game with injury.
