Official release date for Giannis Freak 8
There was a lot of “hype” surrounding the release Giannis Freak 8 in recent weeks on the Milwaukee side. Giannis Antetokounmpo officially unveiled the pair during training and didn’t fail to wear them last night to mark his big return to competition after a 40-day absence, to face the Celtics.
The first colorway of his eighth signature shoe, dedicated to his two daughters, opts for an upper that offers a gradient of pink that goes all the way to pale pink on the sole. The set is paired with a classic gold “Swoosh” on the upper with a snakeskin pattern and a black and gold tongue.
Technically, all the details of the Giannis Freak 8 are not yet known. We do know, however, that the midsole will be equipped with “ReactX” technology on the heel and forefoot.
Unfortunately, Nike’s official announcement dampened the enthusiasm a bit, as we’ll have to wait until August 1st for its worldwide release. Small consolation, the Giannis Freak 8 will remain among the most affordable pairs on the market, priced at $110.
