Ohio State fans boo Chargers Jim Harbaugh after losing to CJ Stroud

Ohio State Football enjoys it one hell of a twist. Since losing to hated foe Michigan in late November, the Buckeyes are riding a three-game winning streak that saw them take on Notre Dame in the national championship. Luck even carries over to the NFL. Former Columbus great CJ Stroud finally the best coach Jim Harbaughlike his The Houston Texans defeated the Los Angeles Chargers32-12, for promotion to NFL playoffs.
Harbaugh, who deserves credit for his regular season efforts with the Chargers, has been the source of much grief for Buckeyes fans over the past few years. The former Michigan HC beat Stroud and Ohio State twice in a row (he was suspended for the 2023 game, but the Wolverines still won) and won the national championship last season. He prompted a seismic shift in the rivalry.
However, the tide could turn once more. Although Ryan Day is 1-4 against Michigan in his career, he and his team are one win away from regaining collegiate dominance. The devastating loss could actually serve as an impetus for the all-time program launch.
Still, Columbus is itching to take the lead in Ann Arbor outright. Stroud has given the community the closest thing to true bragging rights until at least next season. The Texas defensive end and Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert however, they did their part to make it happen.
Scarlet and Gray fans celebrated Harbaugh’s early playoff exit, boosting their already strong state of euphoria.

With Ohio State taking down Texas on Friday, it’s a two-day stretch that fans will really appreciate, even more so if they get to watch their team bring home the title on January 20th. “Tough weekend for Michigan fans,” @meshconcept said. “First they watch Ohio State advance to the national championship game … then their master and savior Jim Harbaugh is eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by CJ Stroud.
Chargers stumble after solid start against Texans
The Texans entered the postseason with a lot of skepticism surrounding them, and the game didn’t get off to a promising start. Herbert led the Chargers to a field goal on first down, and the turnover resulted in three more points down the stretch. However, Houston broke through at the end of the first half. Stroud fired a 13-yard touchdown pass to Nick Collins, the former Michigan talent whose big outing (122 yards, one TD) will likely go unappreciated by most Buckeye fans.
Stroud, a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist, completed 22 of his 33 passes for 282 yards and the aforementioned touchdown (one interception). But Matt Burke’s defense was the real hero of the AFC Wild Card showdown. Pro cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. had two picks, Kamari Lassiter had another and Eric Murray returned one 38 yards back into the end zone. The Texans’ front seven also celebrated, sacking Herbert four times.
It was an absolute nightmare for 5-year-old KB and Jim Harbaugh. But it was a dream for Ohio State football. They will be cheering on their boy Stroud in the divisional round before preparing for the Fighting Irish.
