Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin says he hasn’t made a decision on his coaching future

Ole Miss is headed to the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history after a 38-19 victory over Mississippi State in the 2025 Egg Bowl. But who will lead the Rebels into battle? Obviously, there is still no answer to that burning question. When asked if he had decided where he will work next year, head coach Lane Kiffin offered an eye-opening answer.
“No, I’m not,” he told ESPN sideline reporter Taylor McGregor after his team dismantled the Bulldogs at Davis-Wade Stadium on Friday afternoon. “I have to pray a lot to figure it out tomorrow, but now I’m just going to enjoy these players.”
Kiffin was expected to make an official statement regarding his future on Saturday after the Egg Bowl, but apparently, he’s still weighing his options. While it’s smart to put the focus back on the Rebels, especially since they just won 11 regular-season games for the first time in their more than 120-year existence, some fans are sure to wince after hearing him say those words.
