Orlando makes 27 3-pointers to set a franchise record against the Kings

The Orlando Magic abracadabra-ed his way into the record books in his easy win over the Sacramento Kings, 131-94at the Golden 1 Center on Thursday.
Magic hit the Kings with 3-pointers, draining a total of 27 and setting a new franchise record for a single game.
Orlando broke old team record with 2:33 left in the fourth quarter thanks to Jett Howard. For good measure, he added another 3-pointer with 33 seconds left.

Paolo Banchero shot 5-of-7 from long range, finished with a game-high 30 points. He also had five rebounds and six assists.
Howard, Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva each had four 3-pointers, while Desmond Bain, Jalen Suggs and Devon Carter each had three. Mo Wagner added one 3-pointer.
Overall, the Magic were 27-of-50 from beyond the arc.
That could simply be an aberration, as Orlando is averaging just 11.5 3-pointers this season while shooting 34.2% from the field, tied with three other teams for the league-worst percentage.
They were just three threes short of breaking the league record of 29 long bombs set by the Boston Celtics against the New York Knicks in 2024 and the Milwaukee Bucks against the Miami Heat in 2020.
Magic was also part of another team record—sort of—like them handed the Kings their 15th straight lossthe longest in franchise history.
Crni collected 20 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Bane added 17 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Orlando improved to 29-25, while Sacramento dropped to 12-45.
The Magic will continue their impressive shooting from deep against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.
