Packers bold predictions for massive Week 14 matchup against Bears
The Green Bay Packers they have a huge matchup ahead of them in Week 14 as they prepare to face the NFC leaders Chicago Bears. Looking back at the greatest rivalry in all of the NFL, this game will have even more meaning with both teams playing for the top of the division and serious playoff implications. Before all the action, we’ll make some bold predictions for the Green Bay Packers ahead of Week 14.
The Packers recently beat the Detroit Lions 31-24 on Thanksgiving Day for their third straight win. They have won six games in the last eight weeks, and with two games against the Bears in the next three weeks, each matchup will prove crucial for the Packers and their path to the Lombardi Trophy.
Packers Week 14 predictions in bold

Jordan Love continues his dominance in November, December.
During his tenure as the Packers’ starting quarterback, it became common for Jordan Love to outdo himself in November and December. During his careerLove has a 97.4 passer rating with 3,377 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions in 16 games in the month of November. During December games, Love posted a 105.7 passer rating, 2,046 yards, 16 touchdowns and 1 interception.
While the Chicago Bears lead the division and look like a real contender this season, Jordan Love is 3-1 against the Bears in his career. With two games to go, the Packers are bound to get at least one win as betting favorites given the Lions’ history against the Bears.
The Bears hold on early in the game thanks to the running game, but not for long.
While this may be a judgment call, the Chicago Bears are sure to make this a close game given the one touchdown betting spread and three points difference for the first half of the game. They found tremendous success behind their running game against the Philadelphia Eagles, with 281 yards on the ground. They posted another 140-yard rushing game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12, so the Bears must feel confident in their offense before this one.
While this may be the case, the Green Bay Packers have been notorious this season for stopping very efficient teams, holding the Philadelphia Eagles to just 111 yards on the ground and the Minnesota Vikings to just 93 yards rushing in a non-existent effort in that aspect of the game. Their defense ranks seventh in the league, allowing just 93.8 average yards per game. I expect these trends to continue as Micah Parsons and the rest of the defensive line rises to the occasion at home.
Matt LaFleur continues to be aggressive with his play calling.
Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions saw a new side to head coach Matt LaFleur as he went a perfect 3-for-3 on his fourth down attempt, taking a page out of Dan Campbell’s Lions playbook. The Packers were also anxious to call long passes down the field with the deep wide receiver threat Christian Watson running back and healthy in the lineup, so expect to see a lot of that as Watson looks to test Chicago’s secondary on numerous attempts throughout the game.
Matt LaFleur has had minor issues with late-game calls this season, most evident in their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the waning seconds of the game. Given how much this game means to the Green Bay fan base and the implications it has for the division, expect LaFleur to try to come up with the perfect game plan to stop the run and build a lead throughout this game to avoid any close calls in the fourth quarter.
