The Magic’s Paolo Banchero will be the first to admit stretching before any basketball activity is non-negotiable. He details how as a junior he suffered from a shin splint that hindered his game, until he met a coach who taught him a rubber band stretching routine. Although it was difficult at first, Banchero stuck to the routine and eventually saw his shin splints disappear. He has built a routine before all basketball activities since then.

Signed as a Jordan Brand athlete, Banchero is always first in line to rock his PE (player exclusive) of the latest Jordan technology. Recently seen in the Air Jordan 4020, the sneaker perfectly resembles the vibrant green of the rubber band that Banchero uses during his routine. Presented in a pure white and neutral gray base, we see green along the rear heel, outsole, and especially the large strap across the midfoot.

While rocking a new PE, Banchero recorded 16 points, seven rebounds and eight assists en route to a 111-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. It’s clear that both the pregame stretches and the sneakers paid off, but we’re not sure if this colorway will be released to the public yet or if it will remain exclusive to the former Rookie of the Year.
