Damian Lillard is currently out for the season, but will look to join Craig Hodges and Larry Bird as only three times 3-point competition winners ever.

Team Harper roster:

Overview: An event not seen since 2015, the Shooting Stars competition returns for All-Star Weekend in 2026. However, the format will be slightly different from what it was. Four teams, each featuring two active players and one retired legend, will compete in a two-round competition where each team has 70 seconds to score points from different locations on the court. There are seven designated shooting spots that each player must shoot at. The two teams with the most points at the end of the first round will advance to the championship. The layup/dunk in the right lane, the 18′ right baseline shot, the right elbow shot, and the top of the key shot are worth two points each. A three-pointer from the right wing and a three-pointer from the left corner are worth three points, and a long three-point shot is worth four points.
Prediction: This is a shooting contest, so it helps that the Knicks have one of the best big-time shooters ever (Towns), one of the best 3-point shooters overall (Brunson) and a retired player who was a shooter during his playing days (Houston).
AT&T Dunk Contest:
When: After Shooting Stars
Participants:
- Carter Bryant, San Antonio Spurs
- Jackson Hayes, Los Angeles Lakers
- Keshad Johnson, Miami Heat
- Jace Richardson, Orlando Magic
Review: After Mac McClung’s back-to-back winsThe Slam Dunk Contest will have four new participants. Once seen as the premiere event of All-Star weekend, the slam dunk contest has become heated due to a lack of star power and elite slam dunks in recent years. Still, the aerial view has the potential to be special year after year.
Prediction: The slam dunk contest has a bunch of unheralded jumpers this year. Carter Bryant is the favorite to win.

All-Star Championship:
When: 7:10 p.m. ET
Overview: Following the success of Hockey’s 4 Nations Clash, the NBA will play a USA vs. World format for the first time in All-Star history. Each year, 24 All-Stars are selected, meaning there are two teams with American players and a third team of superstars from around the world. They will play a round robin tournament and the top two teams will compete in the All-Star Championship Game.
Prediction: Many of the players on Team Stripes are veteran legends. Players like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and LeBron James don’t get much playing time. They have also been known to get along easily during the All-Star Game. However, in a USA vs. World event, these veterans may simply decide to step it up. Curry is out, but the Stripes will still win the All-Star Game.
