Pat McAfee breaks down Quinion Mitchell’s rotten pedigree on RAV

When Quinyon Mitchell tried to make a pedigree so ugly even Paul “Triple H” Levesque himself had to comment that during Victory in the wild card round Philadelphia Eagles via the Green Bay Packers, fans had to know Pat McAfee he would get into it Monday evening RAV.

I mean, pretty much checks all the boxes for a former All-Pro player, right? Football? Check it out. Wrestling? Check it out. Stupidity? Yes, that was there too. Assuming Netflix could get the rights to play the NFL clip, which was a real question mark, the trip to Patestrator was a borderline segment for Sunday’s programming, right?

Yes, as in one way or another, WWE showed the footage, and McAfee completely gave up on breaking it down, explaining the move before actually getting interested in Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship for… other reasons.

“Thank you, Michael Cole, and I think what Quinyon Mitchell did with the Eagles is a ten in concept, but a three in execution!” I mean, what we have here, with the Niners fans booing the Philadelphia Eagles, is you see Mitchell going, ‘Come on, come on, come on, come on.’ He and DeJean are huge wrestling fans. Triple H, gonna Pedigree ya! I’m going to pull this thing out, but what is (DeJean) doing? Fall on your face! It falls flat on its face and puts a little Earl Gray on that thing,” explained Pat McAfee on RAV.

“Now, a lot of people say it’s not a good pedigree, but I digress. Look at this guy and this guy (DeJean and Blankenship): they are known as exciting white people because of their skin color. See, they’re white as dicks playing a position where it’s abnormal. Play the video, please; you see Blankenship has rhythm. It has sauce; he likes to play. Forget about it; people would not be able to understand it because it is so mesmerizing. Pedigree was absolute crap, but a move like that is devastating. And the Exciting Whites captured it in an exciting way.”

Okay, so was it a little weird to listen to McAfee talk for two minutes about “Exciting White People” about the world leader in sports entertainment? Yes, while members of the Eagles fan base call the duo by that nickname mostly in jest, RAV the color commentator seems to have accepted it very seriously for one reason or another. Still, for the average WWE fan, this video and its corresponding preview served as more than just a reminder of why wrestlers like Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, both of whom use Triple H’s signatureget the big bucks, because it’s really a lot harder than it looks on television. Maybe next time stick to the Super Kick, Mitchell, because anyone can take and deliver some compelling Sweet Chin music.
