Paul Pierce sends Karl-Anthony Towns trading tips to New York

The New York Knicks have climbed back into second place in the Eastern Conference after winning four straight games. The Knicks and Boston Celtics are 29-18 on the season and six games back of the Detroit Pistons for the top seed.

This should be the year the Knicks return to the NBA Finals, but they haven’t played “well” enough to be a big threat. They are more than capable of climbing to the one seed in the East and giving themselves the best chance to reach the finals. The Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors may be the only threats outside of the Pistons.

Paul Pierce knows what it takes to get to the NBA Finals, and he should know how hard it is to get there. He recently talked about the Knicks trade rumours including Karl-Anthony Townsvia Hoops Hype.

“This isn’t a situation where you jump in the middle of the season where you’re trying to compete for a championship. These kinds of moves are made in the offseason. I think you judge him (Towns) by his playoffs. Like, yeah, they were up and down during the regular season. Everybody feels like they should be at the top of the East, but then everything took off from what we saw in the Finals.

It could all go quiet if the Knicks go to the Finals with KAT. That’s what I hate about CEOs and what organizations do. You get discouraged during the regular season and make a stupid move. No mate, we’re judged on what we do in the playoffs and then we build on what we’ve won. We are here.”

The NBA trade deadline coming fast on february 5th.
