Pelicans secure 4th straight win

In the possibly decisive duel for the “lottery” at the end of the season, v Pelicans double in Utah with a 115-105 success. With this result, the two teams are now tied in the standings, and the Pelicans thus sign their 4th success in a row.
The game started very badly for Utah. The Pelicans immediately went on a 9-0 run, using a completely broken home offense: it took the Jazz more than four minutes to score their first points. Despite the disastrous skill (27% shooting in the quarter), Utah stays in touch thanks to its defensive activity. Five caused turnovers and four offensive rebounds created second chances. With a run of 14-6 in the middle of the period, the home team is back in the game. At the end of the first quarter, the difference remains limited: 27-22 for New Orleans.
A quick 5-0 for the Pelicans at the beginning of the second period gives the visitors a 10-point advantage. Utah continues to fight, but the address does not follow. In this quarter, there was a reversal: Zion Williamson injured his right ankle and left the game for good after 11 minutes (4 points). Despite this outing, New Orleans is picking up speed. Sadiq Bey continues to do very poorly with 18 points in the first half. The deficit gradually grew before a terrifying 15-0 run in the final minutes, making the halftime score 65-40 (+25). Utah made just 14 of 52 attempts in the first half Shooting 27%, the Jazz couldn’t hope for better…
Elijah Harkless wakes up Jazz
Returning from the locker room, Keyonte George – back after missing 10 games – tried to start a revolt with 12 points in the first five minutes of the quarter. But the Pelicans keep the lead close to 20 points. At the end of the period, the energy of Elijah Harkless changes the dynamic. Author of 8 points and 3 assists in the quarter, he initiated a 13-0 run that brought Utah to -16 before the final act.
Utah went on a 9-0 run to start the final quarter to get back within 10 points. The room wakes up and the momentum seems to shift. But New Orleans immediately responded with an 8-2 run to regain a 15-point lead and cut the deficit short to win 115-105.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
Zion on earth. While leading the way for several weeks, Zion Williamson left his teammates in the 2nd quarter. The mistake is a serious ankle sprain. So far, the medical staff has not given any indication of the seriousness of the injury.
Bey continues. Two days earlier, the author of 42 points, Sadiq Bey again did very poorly with 24 points. His complicity with rookie Jeremy Fiers (18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists) is interesting, and James Borrego can rely on a rotation of 8.9 almost interchangeable players. Of course, there was only jazz in front…
