Peyton Pritchard catches the eye of Kaitlyn Clark during a Mavericks game
Earlier this week, Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard was the subject of many debates although he was most likely minding his own business. A Hall of Famer after all Reggie Miller compared Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clarke Pritchard, and many feel that the comparison is rather pointless in Clark’s favor.
Clark’s reaction to being compared to the Celtics guard went viral; her smile disappeared immediately after Miller mentioned Pritchard’s name. But it looks like the Fever star has changed his mind. After all, Pritchard has a lot in common with Clark in the way they play — with Clark giving the Celtics the ability to guard her seal of approval on one such play during Boston’s 110-100 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

Pritchard has excellent ball handling, and has an underrated ability to get to his spots on the hardwood. He can drive his way to the paint and pull back for comfortable midrange short shots.
Clark, on the other hand, is more of a bomber from beyond the arc, and she’s a better playmaker (relative to their opponents) than the Celtics guard. But at times their games look similar, and maybe Miller was really on to something when he made that comparison.
The comparison to the Celtics’ Peyton Pritchard is nothing to scoff at
While Pritchard will never be as big a star in the NBA as Clark was in the WNBA, being compared to the Celtics guard is nothing to be ashamed of.
Pritchard has excellent range beyond the arc, much like Clark, and both work hard on the defensive end. This comparison, however, is not perfect, and nothing really is when it comes to such things.
at the end of the day, Pritchard is a favorite among Celtics fansand he will be a key part of their progress.
