Positive information about the neck injury of the former NKST champion

Out of action for nearly eight months, a major positive update has now surfaced from former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion, Elton Prince. Currently on the road to recoveryPrince’s team partner Keith Wilson recently shared news about him.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Wilson shared the “good” news regarding Prince’s recovery. After landing a dangerous inverted DDT, Prince injured his neck, claiming to undergo surgery and a break from wrestling.

“He’s doing well. The surgery happened, and it was nice that he was able to talk about the surgery then, because he’s a pretty private person. He didn’t really put anything out there. People didn’t really know. Some people thought it was just this. Some people thought it was just that. So it was nice for people to get clarity and understand what was going on,” Wilson said.

Although the surgery went well, Prince is slowly and steadily recovering from it, without any rush. “The surgery went well, and so far, it’s been a week and a half, maybe two weeks. It’s all well and good, but it’s just touch and go. It’s the neck. So it’s such a specialized area, I think we’re just taking it day by day. But he’s doing well, which is fantastic. It’s just to talk about him, but I want to talk about him. I don’t want to be too sentimental, because I’m going to start going.”

While there is no confirmed update on Prince’s timeline for a return to the ring, Wilson’s words shared a sense of relief among his fans after the 28-year-old underwent two-level neck fusion surgery.
